Sunday December 17th, 2006 (almost exactly 3 years ago! This is my sister's visit to Scotland after the semester ended)
An entire day of nothing to do, but we managed. We started out by going to Prince's Street to find a hat for Jami. "No luck". That was a direct quote from Jami. As we gave up our hat endeavor, Jami pointed to a hill and said, "What's that?"
"Calton Hill." I replied.
"Let's go there."
So we did. We climbed Calton Hill, got an amazing view of Edinburgh, the Forth Rail Bridge, Arthur's Seat, and Holyrood House.
When we finally organized our luggage we caught the bus to the airport and caught our flight to Dublin. We landed 25 minutes ahead of schedule. Once we got into Downtown Dublin, we wandered around at midnight on Sunday, trying to find our hostel. We eventually did. It was loud, hard to find, bright, and we were in a 10 bed mixed room (which actually had 16 beds). Definitely not a good hostel. Thank you Barnacles in Temple Bar, Dublin.
The reason our matching tattoos say S.I.S. is that we are sisters... and on that trip, we went to Scotland, Ireland, and Spain. Get it?
