Where am I? I am currently in Seattle. Try as I might to stay in one place for a time, I cannot do it. The more I travel, the more I realize there is so much more to see. I could spend my entire life just wandering around the US and never see it all! I have this whole world out there that I want to see, but I feel like I'm running out of time!
Seattle. I really had no idea what to expect... I had seen pictures of the mountains and the space needle and stuff, but just didn't know. This is the vibe I get from Seattle: It's got sort of a dark, edgy creativity. It kinda matches the weather. Austin has a rather light creativity... maybe it's all weather based. Austin hippies are really fun and generally accepting and happy. You could easily walk up to someone on the street and have a conversation. The people in Seattle seem darker to me. It's not a bad thing, but it's not what I expected. We went out to a pub last night, the Hopvine in Capitol Hill. The waiter, a native Seatllite (say it out loud, it's fun), was super friendly and gave us some ideas of what to do here. Really great to meet people like that.
I think tomorrow we are headed up to Vancouver, B.C. Yay for Canada! Thursday I am thinking I'll head off to the Science Fiction Museum. Nerd. Yep. Get to meet up with one of my long lost friends; pretty excited about it! Seattle, you are an adventure. I appreciate you.
