Here is a picture of my niece, Lily. My sister is currently pregnant so I have another niece or nephew on the way! I'm so glad I got to see Lily and Cooper on this trip and I hope to see them again soon!

My nephew, Cooper, is hilarious. I got to see him on my trip up north, and it's so crazy how much he has grown. I feel like I've missed so much in the last year. Hopefully I'll be able to visit Minnesota to see him and Missouri to see my niece more often. I'll post pictures of Lily later. :)
The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota has a series of glass sculptures. The artist, Dale Chihuly, is internationally known. My first Chihuly experience was at the UMD library. My dear friend, Tif, showed me around the Mayo Clinic and kept referencing the 'Chihuly glass". For some reason, my brain could not remember this name, and I kept calling it C'thulu glass. It's a fitting title.
Anyway, these sculptures are amazing. I am always in awe at the twists, turns, and shapes in the glass. Here is one example: One of my dear friends got married recently, and I was lucky enough to attend! I drove across the country, but I was there... with my dog.
It was a beautiful ceremony and the decorations were so unique and wonderful! The seating was done by name on mason jars. You just had to locate your name at one of the tables. So, congratulations to Susan and Sudhir! More pictures to come! Ever since she was a puppy, Rommy has loved slides.
This particular shot is unedited and Rommy loved practicing for it. TC took this picture because I was wearing the corset this brooch is attached to. It's interesting, this picture took several takes and some direction to get this particular shot. It's not that the others were bad, but I had a vision for this shot. I love that everybody has a different perspective and it's often difficult to share that perspective with others.
This picture was taken at the Sherwood Forest Faire and was taken with our Sony point-and-shoot. Here's a picture from our recent trip to New Orleans to celebrate our one year anniversary. So glad we got the chance to visit and we are looking forward to our next trip there!
Three years ago today, my brother got married. I want to wish them a happy anniversary! Couldn't have asked for a better sister-in-law!
My original DSLR was a hand-me-down. It was an awesome camera to learn on. It treated me well. However, there were some flaws with the lens and the sensor. I learned, not only how to take pictures, but I learned to edit. I have come a long way since then. Let's do an editing comparison. Pay close attention to the close ups. The little red and blue spots everywhere on the first one: I'm excited to see what else I learn in the upcoming years. So many photo ops.... so little time.
Random picture for today. This is from the Smithville, TX Photo Festival. Good times.
