TC took this picture because I was wearing the corset this brooch is attached to. It's interesting, this picture took several takes and some direction to get this particular shot. It's not that the others were bad, but I had a vision for this shot. I love that everybody has a different perspective and it's often difficult to share that perspective with others.

Here's a picture from our recent trip to New Orleans to celebrate our one year anniversary. So glad we got the chance to visit and we are looking forward to our next trip there!
Three years ago today, my brother got married. I want to wish them a happy anniversary! Couldn't have asked for a better sister-in-law!
My original DSLR was a hand-me-down. It was an awesome camera to learn on. It treated me well. However, there were some flaws with the lens and the sensor. I learned, not only how to take pictures, but I learned to edit. I have come a long way since then. Let's do an editing comparison. Pay close attention to the close ups. The little red and blue spots everywhere on the first one: I'm excited to see what else I learn in the upcoming years. So many photo ops.... so little time.
Random picture for today. This is from the Smithville, TX Photo Festival. Good times.
My sister asked me for a few tropical pictures, so I was more than happy to oblige. It was a great trip, and a lovely wedding.
I feel like 2007 doesn't get enough love on this Phlog. A lot happened in 2007. One example is a road trip to Colorado. It was my first time to Colorado, and at that point, it was the farthest west I'd been in the US. It was a great trip. I remember a surprise party for my birthday... despite small children dropping numerous hints, I had no idea there would be a birthday celebration. It was awesome. Well, here is a picture from the Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs. I was using my Nikon Coolpix point-and-shoot camera. It was an awesome camera and I miss it.
I really love taking pictures of markets. They are so colorful. I've posted a picture of the Central Market in Wonju, South Korea before. I feel like I need more pictures like these. Lovely.
This is from the Public Market in Seattle. A couple of my friends are getting married soon. I'm super happy for them. They were kind enough to subject themselves to my camera for a few shots. I've noticed that throughout my life I've surrounded myself by good looking people. Case in point.
