Weapon of Choice - Cameras

Once upon a time, I used a Nikon Coolpix L1 point and shoot camera. Any pictures you see on the site that are from before 2010 are taken with the Nikon Coolpix. It was an awesome camera, and I miss it terribly when I need a quick but good shot and am not carrying the DSLR. Unfortunately, this camera took a little swim in the ocean after a boat capsized in Mexico in March of '10. From 2010 until early 2011, I shot with a Canon EOS Rebel 200D. This was my first venture into the world of the DSLR. This is the camera I used when I learned about photography. In 2011, I started traveling around with my now husband, TC. He taught me the ways of the Nikon D90. Not too long after, we got a Nikon D7000. The D7000 was stolen (along with other expensive camera related things). So, now I am shooting with the Nikon D90. I got a point and shoot that was a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX20V, I wanted lots of optical zoom and to be able to manually  set the shutter speed and aperture to some extent. This camera did both. I still like it for both those reasons, but in low light, the picture quality is fairly awful.
My personal opinion is that two cameras is the best way to operate.  One the nicer, DSLR, and the other a point and shoot that you can carry with you for those moments when you just wish you had your camera with you.

If you have any questions about these cameras, let me know and I will do my best to answer them!
