I have failed at writing everyday. I just don't have the time for it right now. This puppy is taking up all of my time in a way I wasn't prepared for. Instead, I decided to do a picture a day. You can see my pictures on my Picture A Day page. That page has my inspiration and explanations. I'll try to update it when I remember. It's going to be exciting!

I generally like to take Rommy Dearest on a walk. Today we walked around "Lake" George. I put lake in quotes because it is actually a pond. This is not the first time we've done this walk, and I'm always excited about the new tracks we'll see in the mud. Here is a sampling: We see a few of these... ...Only one or two of these... ...And a whole bunch of these... The "lake" is right next to a dog park, and Rommy got to see a good friend of hers. His name is Toby, and he's just a puppy too! He's full grown, and I hope Rommy gets to be that big. When they stand really close together, it's hard to tell which one is which.
We have a puppy. She is freakin’ adorable. We love her to death. She has pick spots on her nose and blue spots in her right eye. She’s wicked smart, and we try to take a billion pictures. It’s hard because she moves so much! I’m sure you’ve all seen pictures of our rambunctious little girl. If you haven’t, don’t worry. Here are some: These are the pictures you all get to see… but what you don’t see is the attitude that this little puppy has. She loves to test the boundaries like a raptor testing the perimeter for weaknesses. She is a regular spitfire. She has a mind of her own, and it'll be good for her one day. Right now, all it does for me is give me a headache. Would I trade my puppy? Of course not! Those moments of calm and those hours of play make it worthwhile. Do I lose my cool sometimes? Well... let me show you. This is clearly a staged photo. I would never yell at a dog so close. I would yell from a distance so in my head I could justify the volume. She gets on my nerves and she drives me crazy. ...but she's just so darn cute! I mean seriously, look at that face! 2 things, and then I'm done. 1. This look she is giving says this, "I don't think I'm allowed to do this, but I'm going to try it anyway!"
2. All of these pictures were taken by TC. I edited them and put the watermark on them because it makes me feel safer. Gotta give credit where credit is due. This guy knows his way around a camera! If you read my blog ever you know we got a puppy. She is a little spitfire. She is full of spunk and energy. She is wicked smart and her favorite toy is the cat. The cat, of course, does nothing but instigate. When she is in her kennel he just casually walks past once... twice... three times... The pictures I posted before were from the kennel. So, here are some pictures of the critters since we got our puppy! TC totally took all these pictures. Gotta give credit where credit is due! He's a pro. Above: Rommy loves the slides at the playground! Below: Rommy's first bath at home. Below: You see that look in her eye? It's saying, "I'm going to do this. I don't know if it's okay, but gosh darnit, I'm going to do it anyway!" Below: Zuul loves sitting in front of the heater. He just happens to be hugging his scratching box and wearing a festive sweater.
Well, there have been a few additions to the clan in the last couple weeks. First of all, we got a dog. She's not old enough for us to take her home yet, but just a couple more weeks and she's all ours! Rommy (short for Andromeda)She's an Australian Shepherd, blue merle coloring. We are so excited to bring her home with us! Also, one day, we went to the grocery store and came home with a kitten! Actually, this is what happened: I wanted to go to Petco to price some stuff for Rommy and the adoption kennels were at the front of the store. There was one kitten there and TC and I fell in love with him. We adopted him on the spot and brought him home. We named him Zuul, and he has been the perfect travel cat for us. He has no problems with the car, he is curious about being outside, and he is a snuggler! Zuul (think Ghostbusters)He looks older than he is. He's only about 4 months old. He's a hoot and so good at entertaining himself!
